Sore neck...could it be because I slept on a cotton pillow last night?

Soo my grandparents are visiting for the holidays and I lent them my 2 feather pillows :( anyways I have cotton pillows for decoration and I used one of them last night and now my neck hurts, could this be why? I also went sledding yesterday and took nasty falls I'm thinking this could be why if its not the pillow
