Why when you ask a question on Yahoo, about the serious subjects in todays world e.g. drugs,hate killings..?

is there apathy in most of the answers, is it because people have lost hope, as there is no cure, or is it due to blind acceptance, where has the Dunkirk spirit gone. Is there no one left who cares?...
