Why did Republicans tell so many lies during their convention? Doesn't Truth serve their purposes?

That's want the GOP is good at lies, rumors, fear tactics and hate mongering. They have to lie to get votes. The GOP work on people fears and prejudice. They have been in power for eight years and don't want to give it up. They have to lie to win. (=
