Guys: Would you lie about getting a vasectomy?

I had for the first time ever two weeks ago, I am 21, and yes i know i waited a long time to lose my virginity. Anyway, I had with a guy i met at a bar that same night, he was 22. I was really drunk and didn't really know what was happening. He had said at the time he had a vasectomy when he was 18. Now 2 weeks later, I have not seen or spoke to him, (though i do have his number). And I might be pregnant, it is too soon for the test to be accurate. I don't know if he lied about the vasectomy, i don't think that is something anyone would lie about. Would a guy lie about having a vasectomy just so they didn't have to wear a condom, knowing i wasn't on birth control?
